Colonial Village Apartments for Rent

(hide neighborhood information)

With its tree-lined streets and well-maintained landscapes, Colonial Village is a peaceful community amidst the bustle of nearby city life. It is hard to imagine, as you stroll the quiet streets, that the area is so close to major roadways and nearby commercial districts.

Home designs in Colonial Village tend toward a variety of houses built in the 1950s. You’ll find traditional, mid-century modern, ranch, and farmhouse-style homes. Colonial Village encompasses zip code 95820. The community’s boundaries are 21st Avenue on the north, Power Inn Road on the east, Fruitridge Road on the south, and the Sacramento County Cemetery and St. Mary’s Cemetery on the west. To the west of the cemetery is the 65th Street Expressway. The Colonial Village neighborhood is primarily residential, although you’ll find some nearby commercial buildings, including restaurants, shops, and service establishments.

Of the many appealing aspects of Colonial Village is Earl Warren Park, which sits in the center of the neighborhood. The 4.68-acre park located at Vanderberg Drive was renovated and re-opened in September, 2010. It features a tot lot, skate park, bantam soccer field, picnic areas, and hiking and biking opportunities. To the northeast outside of the neighborhood is Granite Regional Park, which includes a dog park, horseshoe pit, three soccer fields, picnic areas, and plenty of hiking, walking, and biking trails. Not far away to the north of Colonial Village is California State University, Sacramento. This large, public educational institution has 29,000 students and graduates 6,000 per year. There are 3,000 trees on the scenic campus’s 300 acres.
