Glassell Park Apartments for Rent
About five miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles in the California foothills, the small neighborhood of Glassell Park offers amazing views, Craftsman homes, and a diverse population. The area was settled in the late 1800s by Andrew Glassell and the neighborhood still features some of the area’s earlier architecture, such as Glassell Park Elementary School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Glassell Park Recreation Center features a pool, walking paths, and an exercise area. A bike path runs along Eagle Rock Boulevard, and Griffith Park (located just west of Glassell Park) is a great place for hiking. Griffith Park also contains the Los Angeles Zoo and several golf courses — Wilson, Harding, and Roosevelt Municipal. Elysian Park, one of the oldest and largest parks in LA, is located a few minutes south of Glassell Park. Dodger Stadium is located on the southern side of Elysian Park.
