Sunnyvale is off North Thornydale Road and West Hardy Road. Both streets have bike routes and there is a bus route on North Thornydale Road. The neighborhood is in the suburb of Casa Adobes and lies in Pima County.
Within walking distance is Arthur Pack Regional Park. The 513-acre park has ten baseball fields, batting cages, a basketball court, and hiking and walking trails. There is a playground for children, four ramadas with tables and grills, and a snack shack. Inside the park is the 18-hole Crooked Tree Golf Course. The course was named “Best Place to Play” by Golf Digest in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Crooked Tree has a fully stocked golf shop, and there is a bar and grill in the clubhouse. St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church is a few minutes from Sunnyvale. The church offers daily Mass as well as programs for adults and children. The church also runs a parochial school for K-grade 12.
