The Supply House area is bordered by Meridian Street North on the west, and the railroad tracks on the east. Quietdale Drive Northwest is to the north, and Mountain View Drive Northeast is to the south. Interstate 565/U.S. Highway 72 runs past the neighborhood less than a quarter-mile to the east.

Immediately adjacent to the Supply House area on the east is Lee High School, situated along Forrest Circle Northwest. The school’s playing fields and track are just on the other side of the railroad tracks.

Parks within walking distance of Supply House include Optimist Park and Chapman Park, both situated just on the other side of I-565.

A short distance south of Supply House, along Oakwood Avenue Northeast, is the Oakwood Village Shopping Center, which offers several specialty shops and eateries for convenient local shopping and dining. There is also a neighborhood market in this area. Roughly equidistant to the northwest is the Northside Plaza Shopping Center, and The Mall Shopping Center is situated a few miles to the southwest.

Two institutions of higher learning can be found within a few miles north of Supply House. These include the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and the much smaller J.F. Drake State Technical College. The University of Alabama in Huntsville campus is also located within 15 minutes of Supply House to the southwest, and closer to the downtown area.
