The McWane Science Center and John W. Woods IMAX Dome Theater has science and hands-on exhibits. It is an educational experience using aquariums, live shows, fossils and artifacts. The John W. Woods IMAX Dome Theater is located in the science center. Visitors to the five-story building can view science, nature and feature-length movies.
Riley is close to the Arlington Antebellum Home and Gardens. The home was built in the 1840s and is an example of Greek revival architecture. Built by one of the founding fathers of Birmingham, the home is furnished with 19th century art.
