The Forest Park neighborhood is conveniently located south of Interstate 20 and east of the Red Mountain Expressway in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Trinity Medical Center, which is located just south of the neighborhood on Montclair Road, provides the communities medical needs.

The community’s educational needs are provided by the Riverchase Elementary School, Pizitz Middle School, and the Springville High School. The University of Alabama at Birmingham is a world-renowned research university and medical center located in the area.
The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is located north of Interstate 20 minutes from the Forest Park neighborhood. Visitors to the area can expect excellent service from the facility. Hotels in the area include the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel, The Redmont Hotel, Doubletree Hotel, Tutwiler Hotel, and the Hotel Highland.
The Summit Birmingham and the Eastwood Mall are area shopping centers located conveniently to Forest Park where residents can enjoy dining, shopping, or a movie.
