The Timber Ridge vicinity is large, unique, and located on the lively northwest side of San Antonio. The major roads within this subdivision are Rim Rock Trail and Timber View Drive. Shooting off of these key streets are many cul-de-sac areas.
With various types of houses and fencing, the exterior look of this neighborhood is eclectic. Many homes are one level with one- and sometimes two-car garages. Lawns are diverse, and often small, requiring minimal lawn care. Many yards have large hardwood trees to provide some shade and privacy, although this community is anything but secluded. Residents live in close proximity to one another in brick or vinyl-sided homes. The southeast corner of the Timber Ridge community is made up of Meadowood and Timber Ridge apartments.
Nearby Culebra Road provides many appealing enterprises for the local residents and visitors, with restaurants, consumer goods, services, and small businesses. McDonald’s fast food is located in the same vicinity with other family-style restaurants, as well as international cuisine establishments, bridal shops, florists, and preschools like Kindercare.
On the opposite end of this community, Military Drive provides a major thoroughfare and multi-purposed facilities and commerce for area residents to choose from.
Public transportation bus stops are heavily concentrated throughout the eco-friendly district for the commuting consumer.
Parks and Recreation of San Antonio provides several parks for walking, playgrounds, pet exercise, and family activities. Some of those parks include Northwest Little League Senior Park, and Richland Hills/Deer Park.
Ingram Park Mall is located near this vicinity for the local consumer. This high-traffic mall has over 150 retailers and businesses that provide a versatile experience for the shopper.
Carlos Coon Elementary School is within the Timber Ridge neighborhood. Private and public education opportunities range in this area from preschool through college.
