Village at Worthington Neighborhood
The Village at Worthington neighborhood is north of Columbus. The boundaries of the community form a triangle and are the Big Four railroad track to the east, the corner of Flint Road and Lazelle Road to the north, Flint Road to the east, and a line from the corner of Forest Ridge Drive and Flint Road going east to the Big Four railroad tracks on the south.
Officially within the City of Columbus, the Village at Worthington benefits from being in the Worthington School District. Slate Hill Elementary and Worthington Park Elementary serve the community and are highly respected schools. Thomas Worthington and Worthington Kilbourne High Schools are rated among the best in the state.
Neighborhood values are higher than the median. Condos and detached homes are spread throughout the area. The homes were built in the 1990s and feature many mature trees, plenty of sidewalks through most of the neighborhood, and easy access to major highways. The Village at Worthington is sought out as a good place to rear a family. The homes are on the large side and have plenty of yard area.
Residents who are golfers like the Village at Worthington because it’s so close to so many courses. Minerva Lake Golf Course is tucked into a residential neighborhood but offers a challenging public course. Champions Golf Course has tees that can increase or decrease the difficulty of the game, depending on the skill of the golfer. It’s a municipal course and is open to the public. For those residents with the means, York Country Club has all the amenities of a private club, with a spectacular and ever-challenging course.
