Riverbend Neighborhood

The well-established neighborhood of Riverbend is in the suburbs of the city of Columbus, Ohio. This popular neighborhood is just north of Grove City, another popular suburb of Columbus. Riberbend is located in Franklin County in zip code 43228.

Riverbend is a part of the South Western City School District. This is the sixth largest district in the state of Ohio, and it recently received an A on its state report card. This “excellent” rating makes neighborhoods like Riverbend an attractive option for Columbus families.

The scenic Big Run Park, Don Gentile Park, and Riverbend Park lie in the center of the neighborhood. Big Run Park, in particular, is a whopping 241.71 acres. It has an athletic complex, nature preserve, picnic areas, playground, and a wooded area that is popular with joggers and walkers. Dog owners are frequently seen walking their pets along the small stream that runs through the park.

The community is conveniently close to the nearby freeways like Interstate 70 and Interstate 270, and the Georgesville Square shopping center is minutes away. This shopping plaza has several dining options, including Bob Evans, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Dairy Queen, Lone Star Steakhouse, and Wendy’s. There is also a Regal movie theatre here. As such, it is a popular place for local date nights and family outings.

When Riverbend residents decide to take advantage of big city living, they just take a short drive down the road to downtown Columbus. Locals love to check out the zoo and aquarium, water park, bars, museums, and shops. There are endless places to go and things to see in this exciting city.
