Olentangy Commons, located on Blairfield Drive, is a large apartment and condo complex situated north of downtown Columbus, on the west side of the Olentangy River. It’s conveniently located near the major thoroughfares of West Henderson and Blair Roads, the Olentangy Parkway, and SR 315. It’s also just minutes from The Ohio State University.
Built in the 1970s, the complex was considered rundown until Crawford Hoying recently took over management, upgraded the units, and renovated common areas. The buildings are located along tree-lined streets. The Olentangy Commons area is a pleasant place in which to walk and ride bikes.
The area is surrounded by shopping and dining opportunities, including the Olentangy Square Shopping Center and the Olentangy Plaza on Bethel Road just north of the Olentangy Commons. Very close to the complex on the east side are several parks along the Olentangy River, such as Beechwold Park and the Anheuser-Busch Sports Park, with facilities for softball, baseball, and soccer. Whetstone Park and the Park of Roses are on the other side of the river.
