Golfview Woods Neighborhood

The Golfview Woods neighborhood is located in western Columbus, Ohio, just inside the I-270 Loop. The community is bordered on the north by Roberts Road, on the south by Trabue Road, on the west by I-270, and on the east by Dublin Road.

The community offers single-family homes on cul-de-sac, tree-lined streets. Homes in the area were primarily built in the 1980s. Golfview Woods is an affordable neighborhood choice for a golfing community, with many homes offerings scenic views of one of the two golf courses in the area.

Shopping centers nearby include Market at Mill Run Shopping Center to the north as well as Westland Mall Shopping Center and Great Western Shopping Center to the south.

For those interested in continued education, one of the country’s largest and best public universities is located just minutes east of Golfview, The Ohio State University.

As gathered by the neighborhood’s name, golfing is a popular pastime for those that live in and around Golfview Woods. Wilson Road Golf Course is a municipal executive 9-hole course. This scenic course has a creek that winds through the tree-lined fairways as well as two ponds. The Raymond Memorial Golf Course, another municipal course is the city’s oldest and features lush, bluegrass tees and manicured bentgrass greens. The newly constructed clubhouse is a great spot for corporate meetings, weddings and banquets.

For those looking for more of an elite course, Scioto Country Club and Golf Course is just minutes east of Golfview Woods. This course designed by acclaimed Donald Ross is where Jack Nicklaus learned to play. The course ranks among the top in the country and has hosted five major championships. Other amenities here include a 53,000 square foot clubhouse, an indoor practice facility, fitness facility, four swimming pools, and eleven tennis courts.
