Located north of Downtown Columbus and south of Dublin, Dexter Falls is a subdivision located in the 43221 zip code. It’s west of the Scioto River and US 33.
The shape of the neighborhood resembles a rectangle with some jagged edges. The boundaries are Hayden Run Road/County Road 32 and Hayden Run creek on the north, Dublin Road on the east, Davidson Road on the south and I-270 on the west. It’s a fairly new subdivision built on level land with sidewalks, trees and grassy lawns — an ideal neighborhood for walking and riding bikes.
Dexter Falls Street cuts through the subdivision in a north-south direction, with all the other streets curving into cul-de-sacs.
In the middle of the neighborhood is Dexter Falls Park, 5101 Dexter Falls. Features include a basketball court, picnic area, shelter house, walking trail and playground. Other nearby recreational areas include The Golf Club of Dublin, and Hayden Falls Park, on Hayden Run Road at the Scioto River. It features canyons and a waterfall.
The subdivision is comprised mostly of single-family, one- and two-story houses built in the late 1980s. Most of the houses are frame. Several condo complexes are in the area including one at the southwest edge of the subdivision on Farber Court.
Schools are St. Brendan’s, which is a Catholic parochial school, and public schools Norwich and Ridgewood Elementary, Hilliard Tharp 6th Grade, Hillard Station 6th Grade, Hilliard Weaver Middle School, Hilliard Davidson High School and Hilliard Darby High School.
Nearby shopping includes Kroger grocery stores, and the Mall at Tuttle Crossing, just north of Dexter Falls in Dublin.
