Lackland Air Force Base is part of Joint Base San Antonio, which also includes Randolph Air Force Base and the Army’s Fort Sam Houston. Lackland Air Force Base was established in 1941 and operated independently until it was merged with the other bases in 2010. Lackland AFB is home to the 802d Mission Support Group.
Located in southwestern San Antonio, there are plenty of apartments near Lackland AFB available.
