The Beach Park neighborhood is part of Tampa, Florida, located on the west side of the city. This community is less than five miles directly west of the heart of the downtown area, which translates to just over a 10-minute drive. It borders the bay on the west, extending to South Clark Avenue on the east and West Kennedy Boulevard/State Highway 60 on the north. The community’s southern boundary is harder to define, roughly created by West Bay Way Drive, West Estrelia Street, and West Morrison Avenue.
This predominately residential community encompasses about 1.25 square miles, home to more than 3,550 residents as of 2009. It is part of the 33609 zip code area within Hillsborough County. This community is quite affluent, and many well-kept, single-family homes are situated within neighborhood bounds. Residents enjoy sweeping views of the bay and easy access to the outdoor recreation options the bay affords. A small neighborhood park known as Swann Park also sits within neighborhood boundaries, offering additional opportunities for outdoor fun.
Students living in Beach Park can attend one of the top-notch public schools in the Hillsborough County School District, including Plant, Coleman, Grady, and Mabry. Many respected private schools also exist nearby, including Tampa Prep, The Academy, Berkley Prep, and St. Mary’s.
When it comes to shopping, dining, and entertainment, there are plenty of options on the west side of the city. Town Square Center, a small retail space with several specialty shops and eateries, is situated within neighborhood bounds on the north, and several additional shopping centers and independent retailers exist within minutes of home. A movie theater is also situated within walking distance, providing opportunities for family entertainment. Residents enjoy access to many major area roadways, which help connect them to the rest of this beautiful city and all that it offers.
