Denver at a Glance
Auraria Neighborhood
Situated just west of Downtown, the Auraria neighborhood is one of Denver’s oldest neighborhoods. What started as a gold mining settlement along the South Platte River is now the heart of a university and entertainment complex. With its easy access to light rail and regional bus system, residents can roam downtown Denver and explore surrounding communities.
Auraria was founded in 1858 and was officially incorporated into the Denver city limits in 1860. Due to ongoing urban renewal projects, little remains of historic Auraria other than the Ninth Street Historic Park on the Auraria Campus. Today the majority of Auraria is composed of the campuses of the University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver and Community College of Denver. Most residences within Auraria are converted lofts, condominiums and a few single-family homes.
Auraria includes the 80204 zip code and is bordered by the South Platte River on the west, West Colfax Avenue to the south, and Speer Boulevard to the east. Shopping exists along Colfax Avenue, Speer Boulevard and in downtown Denver.
Auraria is home to a variety of entertainment venues. Sports fans can watch the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center while music fans can catch headline acts. Next door, residents can take in the amusement rides and water park features on the grounds of the relocated Elitch Gardens Theme Park. Across Speer Boulevard residents can watch performances at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts or attend a meeting at the Colorado Convention Center.
Parks and greenbelts are just steps away in Auraria. One can take the Cherry Creek Bike Path to Confluence Park to play in the South Platte River and then continue riding along the South Platte River Greenway. Along the Greenway one can take in a number of community parks or view local wildlife.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
