Nestled in mountainous terrain and located near the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, the community of Ridgeline lives up to its name. Many of the residences in this scenic neighborhood sit on ridges overlooking rolling hills of open green space.
Ridgeline encompasses zip code 92407. The community is bounded by West Kendall Drive on the north, North E Street on the east, West 30th Street and the 210 Freeway to the south and the 215 Freeway to the west. The area is mostly residential, although there is a shopping center on Kendall Drive in the northeast section of the community that includes a grocery store, other shops, and service establishments.
Of the many appealing aspects of Ridgeline is Blair Park, which sits in the southwest corner of the neighborhood. This scenic park has baseball fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, picnic areas, and a clubhouse. The Lionel E. Hudson Park is also located in the community in the northwest corner. This neighborhood park has walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground.
For the golf enthusiast, there is the Shandin Hills Golf Club, which is located to the southwest of Blair Park just past the 215 Freeway. This private club features a clubhouse with banquet room and an 18-hole course. The course contains scenic terrain that is dotted with mature trees and contains a small lake.
Not too far out of the community to the northwest is California State University San Bernardino. Founded in 1965 and situated on 430 acres, the university enrolls 17,500 students and employs over 2,000 faculty and staff.
