Seattle at a Glance
First Hill Neighborhood
First Hill is a neighborhood in downtown Seattle. This community is located on a large hill, the first hill that is encountered when traveling east from the downtown area, hence the name, “First Hill.” This conveniently located community is bounded by Interstate 5 on the west, East Pike Street and East Union Street on the north, 12th Avenue on the east, and South Jackson Street on the south. It is part of King County, in the 98104 zip code.
Parts of the First Hill neighborhood are residential, originally home to the city’s elite when the community became popular in the late 1800s. However, several commercial offerings can be found within the neighborhood. The community is also host to several churches and schools, the latter of which include Catholic O’Dea High School, Northwest School, and Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. Seattle University, a private institution, has called this neighborhood home since 1898.
The First Hill community is also known for its medical centers, which include the Virginia Mason Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, and Swedish Medical Center/First Hill. The Puget Sound Blood Center can also be found here, and the Swedish Medical Center/Cherry Hill is located just outside of neighborhood bounds on the east. Due to this concentration of medical facilities, this neighborhood has been nicknamed “Pill Hill.”
Residents of this community are also within walking distance of a long list of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, including shopping centers, popular restaurants, and local nightlife. Several cultural attractions are situated in First Hill, including the Frye Art Museum. The Seattle Aquarium, Moore Theatre, and Paramount Theatre are all within walking distance of this community. Several sports and entertainment venues are just a short drive to the south, including Qwest Field and Safeco Field.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
Note: Based on community-supplied data and independent market research. Subject to change without notice.
