Seattle at a Glance
International District Neighborhood
Seattle, Washington, is well known for being a friendly and beautiful place. This is exemplified by the International District. This area could be used as a role model for similar areas throughout the country.
The International District is rich in its diversity, and includes Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipinos, and Chinese. They not only respect each other, they are also as likely to join in traditions and celebrations not their own. Reports indicate that this is the only neighborhood in America where all of these cultures co-exist, living and working together in peace.
This district is old and well established in Seattle. Though it has a unique local culture, like most of the people of Seattle, residents here are welcoming to strangers.
To the immediate east of the international district is Interstate 5, which gives easy access to or from the area. To the west, there is access to beaches on the Pacific Ocean, and to US Highway 99.
The people have no lack of things to do. Gardens grow well, the people are in view of Mt. Hood, offering excellent skiing, and there are several parks and museums nearby. The area is also very close to Qwest Field, the home of the National Football League Seattle Seahawks.
This area is also very close to Safeco Field, the home of the Seattle Mariner baseball team. This baseball park is an interesting design example, featuring a retractable top.
Both fields draw many visitors every year, helping the local economy, and both teams get great support from the people of Seattle.
Visitors may also wish to visit the Summer Festival held in the International District’s Chinatown on the second weekend in July, annually.
Anyone looking for a place with a unique cultural blend need look no further than the International District. It is an intriguing place with a diverse mix of good, hard-working people.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
Note: Based on community-supplied data and independent market research. Subject to change without notice.
