Cherry Hill Neighborhood

The Cherry Hill neighborhood in Roanoke provides its residents with private, secluded country living. This Virginia development features well-maintained homes and beautiful landscaping.

The most common home in the neighborhood is the single-family ranch, or rambler, as it was originally called. The community is modern yet nostalgic and also has some split-level residences among the L-shaped ranch homes.

The neighborhood is set amidst majestic hills and rolling meadows. Some parts of the community are considered historic. The northern section of Cherry Hill was developed in the mid-1900s, with the most recent section of homes constructed in the 1970s and 1980s. Two multi-family manor homes are in the area. The community also has some industrial development and room for future development.

Cherry Hill families can take advantage of shopping, recreation, and medical care primarily located in neighborhoods surrounding the community. These include Wilmont Farms, Signal Hill, Edgewood-Morwanda-Summit Hills, South Washington Heights, and Boulevard Estates. The VA Medical Center also borders this beautifully tended and bustling community.

This neighborhood has a suburban setting and Southern-style charm. It is located close to four prominent causeways, providing its residents with easy access to hotels, schools, churches, recreation, and other attractions.

Residents have a choice of a number of shopping malls in the area when it comes to fun, food, and shopping, all in one accommodating location.

Schools for Cherry Hill are mostly located in Wilmont. This neighboring community is within a 5- to 10-minutes drive. Public transportation is also available within a quarter-mile radius of the neighborhood.
