Southeast Side is a San Antonio, Texas neighborhood. Borders of this neighborhood are F Street to the north, Pecan Valley Drive to the west, and Rigsby Avenue to the south. Salado Creek north to Wheatley Avenue forms the border to the east.
The vicinity of Rigsby Avenue offers a business district for the convenience of local residents. Restaurants and other services, along with a grocery store, are all close by. Both Rigsby Avenue and Pecan Valley Drive have a number of bus stops available for those who’d prefer not to drive.
11.8 acres of this neighborhood is occupied by J Street Park. Along with its basketball, tennis, and other athletic facilities are picnic grounds, fishing, and .30 miles of trails. A pavilion here is available to rent for family gatherings and other events.
The nearby community offers plenty to do for Southeast Side residents. This includes two golf courses. The first golf course is Willow Springs Golf Course, located at the corner of AT and T Center Parkway and East Houston Street. Across from this golf course is the AT&T Center, host for any number of large scale events. This is about three miles north of Southeast Side.
About two miles south of Southeast Side is Pecan Valley Golf Club. This course offers 200 acres along the banks of Salado Creek. Golf Digest named this as one of the top 25 courses in the state.
For those looking for educational opportunities in the nearby community, Saint Phillips College is a short two miles away from Southeast Side.
