Classic 1920s vintage building in the heart of the Montrose / River Oaks area of Houston's innerloop. This building has been preserved and restored in a period correct, 1920s style... not quite Art Deco--but with plenty of 20's charm and original architectural details... like the original 2-panel solid wood doors with the original mortise-style hardware and glass knobs--and the original old-growth hardwood floors. (The hardwood floors are original, are in fantastic condition--and have recently been refinished.) The River Oaks-meets-Montrose location is fantastic. The area is full of excellent restaurants and pubs, several grocery stores, gyms, yoga, and anything else you can think of. Downtown is a very short commute--and a bus stops almost right in front. Midtown is also very close--as is the Medical Center, St Thomas University, the Museum District, and Rice University. The Heights is also just a few miles down the road. There is plenty of off-street parking for the building--3 covered and 2 uncovered spaces. The tenants at this property are all young professionals and I am generally looking for the same. Pets are case by case but I prefer no dogs and definitely no larger dogs or more than one dog. A cat or two is typically not a problem. Reply with any questions or to schedule a showing.
