Village Green Neighborhood

Tree-lined streets and nearby parks make the community of Village Green a picturesque place to live. Homes in the southern section of the community overlook Colonia Verde Park, while Village Green apartments are located throughout the neighborhood.

Village Green is located in zip code 79924. The area is bounded by Tropicana Avenue on the north, McCombs Street on the east, Woodrow Bean Transmountain Road on the south, and Shenandoah Street on the west. The Franklin Mountains and Interstate 10 lie to the west, and the El Paso International Airport sits to the south. The area is mostly residential, although there are a few service establishments in the neighborhood.

One of the many highlights of living in Village Green is Colonia Verde Park, located in the southern section of the community. This busy park features a playground, basketball court, and shaded picnic areas. Veterans Park lies just outside of the neighborhood to the north; it features multiple baseball diamonds and a playground. Arlington Park to the west has basketball courts, a hiking trail, and picnic areas.

El Paso Community College’s Transmountain Campus is also nearby. Located southwest of the neighborhood, this two-year educational institution offers a wide variety of academic degrees. Your Village Green apartment will also place you very close to Fort Bliss, which is located to the east of the neighborhood.

Residents who appreciate nature can visit Franklin Mountains State Park, which is only a short drive away. This 24,247-acre park offers hikers the opportunity to spy a wide variety of wildlife, including black bears, mule deers, and mountain lions. Bird watchers can spot hawks, owls, and golden eagles.
