Montclair Neighborhood

Montclair is a tiny area of El Paso. Neighboring one of the largest golf courses in the city, this neighborhood is central to several outdoor spaces perfect for picnics and pick-up games of football, soccer, or frisbee. Montclair also sits just south of the El Paso International Airport, making it convenient to out-of-town guests as well as restaurants, hotels, and entertainment options for locals and visitors.

The most notable attraction near Montclair is the Lone Star Golf Course. Home to the Lone Star Golf Club, this public golf facility was built in 1975 and has a full course, putting greens, and lighted driving ranges.

The northern boundary of Montclair is made up of Album Avenue, putting the area within the 79925 zip code. It connects to McRae Boulevard, the neighborhood’s eastern border. To the south, Bellis Avenue separates Montclair from the Scotsdale Elementary School campus. Catnip Street makes up the western boundary of the community and neighbors the Lone Star Golf Club’s course.

Montclair sits in the middle of several parks, all within walking or cycling distance. Eastwood park is a few blocks to the east and offers several types of sports fields as well as access to the Gary Del Palacio Recreational Center. To the south, Palm Grove Park has a playground for children and lots of open space for picnics and walking or jogging.

Cielo Vista Park to the west is attached to Cielo Vista Elementary School and has playground equipment, tennis courts, and basketball courts available after school hours. Alternatives to public schools in the area include St. Raphael School to the southeast and Jesus Chapel School to the east. Both private parochial schools, St. Raphael School takes students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade while Jesus Chapel School educates from kindergarten through high school.
