The University of Nebraska Omaha features a beautiful campus and a variety of academic programs. UNO was built in 1908 and is a four-year public university in Omaha. The beautiful urban campus covers 158 acres. The Mavericks participate in NCAA Division I and have 15 varsity teams including football, basketball, and ice hockey. The school colors are crimson and black. UNO is a doctoral/research university and is home to the Peter Kiewit Institute, a facility that houses academic programs for the colleges of Engineering and Information Science and Technology.
