University of Nebraska at Omaha - Omaha, NE
The University of Nebraska Omaha features a beautiful campus and a variety of academic programs. UNO was built in 1908 and is a four-year public university in Omaha. The beautiful urban campus covers 158 acres. The Mavericks participate in NCAA Division I and have 15 varsity teams including football, basketball, and ice hockey. The school colors are crimson and black. UNO is a doctoral/research university and is home to the Peter Kiewit Institute, a facility that houses academic programs for the colleges of Engineering and Information Science and Technology.
To find apartments near UNO, look in the Downtown Omaha area, especially in the neighborhoods of Fairacres, Elmwood Park, Underwood Avenue, and Dundee-Happy Hollow Historic District. The university’s main campus is located just south of Dodge Street on the west side of historic Elmwood Park, a 216-acre park featuring a golf course, a pavilion, a grotto, two baseball fields, walking paths and trails, picnic areas, a swimming pool, and a lagoon.
