Kings Grant Neighborhood

Residents of the King’s Grant neighborhood of Wilmington are only steps away from the New Hanover International Airport. This North Carolina neighborhood is bounded by Market Street and Gordon Road. Highway 40 connects to North College Road, which runs north and south through the subdivision. This provides the residents with easy access to all parts of the city for work, shopping, or leisure activities.

Olsen Park, on 89 acres, is planned for an area just north of this neighborhood. The plans for the park include a sports complex, numerous playing fields, tennis courts, and playgrounds. There will also be many walking and jogging trails where residents can take advantage of the fresh air and the scenes of nature as they get their daily exercise.

The river network leading to the waterfront of Masonboro Inlet is close to this neighborhood. Residents enjoy fishing and boating as well as taking in the sights of the riverbanks and the wildlife that live in their natural habitats there.

Students attending the University of North Carolina find that King’s Grant is one of the most convenient neighborhoods in the city for their needs. The university is located just a short distance down South College Road from the southern boundary of King’s Grant. Students can easily walk back and forth to their classes, saving them money on transportation.

Medical facilities are only a short drive southwest of King’s Grant. There are many different parks in the surrounding area where residents can take advantage of all kinds of amenities.
