The Newell South neighborhood is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The neighborhood is located outside of the main part of the city, tucked away in a nice suburban area that is filled with foliage. The neighborhood has a well-wooded park known as Newell Park. This park is a great place for residents to go for a nice walk or picnic.

Newell South is very close to the University of North Carolina, making this a perfect place for students to live. Reedy Creek Park is a nearby park that offers many different activities. The park features many different areas to play various sports, such as basketball courts and softball fields. The park also has various hiking trails with beautiful scenery for anyone that enjoys a nice nature hike. There are also both indoor and outdoor picnic shelters making Reedy Creek Park a perfect place to have big gatherings.
