Newell South Neighborhood

The Newell South neighborhood is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The neighborhood is located outside of the main part of the city, tucked away in a nice suburban area that is filled with foliage. The neighborhood has a well-wooded park known as Newell Park. This park is a great place for residents to go for a nice walk or picnic.

Newell South is very close to the University of North Carolina, making this a perfect place for students to live. Being close to the university allows residents to take classes for recreation or expand their knowledge. The close proximity to UNC allows for Newell South residents to walk to the football games and other sporting events that happen on campus.

There are plenty of shopping options in the area, including big stores and shopping centers. Nearby the neighborhood is an IKEA store that is a great place to buy any sort of household goods. Next to the IKEA there is a Wal-Mart, which is the perfect place for the residents of Newell South to go grocery shopping. Right by the university there are many different places to dine. Some popular area restaurants are Panera Bread, Panda Express, and Macaroni Grill.

Reedy Creek Park is a nearby park that offers many different activities. The park features many different areas to play various sports, such as basketball courts and softball fields. The park also has various hiking trails with beautiful scenery for anyone that enjoys a nice nature hike. There are also both indoor and outdoor picnic shelters making Reedy Creek Park a perfect place to have big gatherings.
