Charlotte’s Ashbrook-Clawson Village neighborhood is probably most noted for its shopping districts. Several dot the area, and to the west of the neighborhood you’ll find even more shops and restaurants.
SouthPark Shopping Mall is one of the biggest retail malls in the region. It offers many different stores, with offerings ranging from luxury to casual fashion. Large department stores at the mall consist of Belk, Macy’s, Dillard’s, and a few others. There are plenty of dining opportunities at the mall, including five full-service restaurants. Ashbrook-Clawson Village residents will also find an amphitheater and a park on the property, making this mall a premier shopping, dining, and entertainment attraction.
Freedom Park is adjacent to Ashbrook-Clawson and offers residents a terrific place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There are picnic areas, a walking trail, and ball parks. Some of the sports that can be played at the park are soccer, baseball, tennis, and volleyball. The park is wooded and shady, making it a beautiful place to visit.
