The Mattress Factory building is a conversion from manufacturing to mixed-use development. It is home to 34 loft-style apartments and the offices of Preservation Studios and a law firm. The concrete structure was built in 1911 with numerous additions over the years contributing to its eclectic character. The two story building is located in the historic Hamlin Park neighborhood, an area recently experiencing rejuvenation.The building has been repurposed under the federal Preservation Guidelines and is now on the National Register for Historic Buildings. All historic features such as windows have been meticously retrofitted or replaced in kind. The apartment lofts feature high ceilings, large windows, open floor plans, individually metered utilities, ample secured parking and security cameras. Building amenities consist of a bicycle storage room, central laundry facilities, spacious lobby and wide corridors.
