Fairmount Crossing is a partnership between RPM Development Group and the Urban League of Essex County. The project consists of 70 affordable rental units in 2 buildings on noncontiguous lots in the Fairmount neighborhood of Newark. The larger building (52 units) is located at 381-395 S. Orange Ave; the smaller building (18 units) is located at 331-335 S. 11th St. Each apartment includes ENERGY STAR appliances. The buildings will include ground-floor commercial space and resident bike storage. Additional amenities include laundry rooms on each floor, a community room, and elevator service in both buildings. On-site social services, activities, and classes will be available to all residents. Complete a Preliminary "Lottery" Application on the property's website. A random selection will be held for all preliminary applications received by 11:00 PM, May 13th, 2026.
