About 172 South St
Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an open kitchen, living, and dining area in a quiet 4-unit building in Jersey City Heights. Just over 1,000 square feet. The primary bedroom has a Juliet balcony that looks over the backyard and gets a lot of morning sun. The other two bedrooms are full-size and work as bedrooms, home offices, or a nursery. All three have real closets with actual storage space. The kitchen is open to the living and dining areas. There's a peninsula with counter seating on one side. Appliances are stainless steel: gas range, dishwasher, over-the-range microwave, and a full-size side-by-side fridge. Two full bathrooms, in-unit washer and dryer, and central air. The tankless water heater is in the utility closet, so the hot water doesn't run out. The apartment gets plenty of natural light through the day. The Heights still feels like a real neighborhood, not a place people pass through. There are independent coffee shops, restaurants, and bars within a few blocks, plus parks and walkable streets. Most people who live here stay a while, which gives the area a different feel than Downtown JC or Hoboken. Multiple NYC buses stop on the corner with direct service to Port Authority and Midtown. The Light Rail is a short walk away and connects to the regional transit system. The commute into Midtown is often faster than from parts of Brooklyn or Queens. Rental parking is available around the corner.
