North Pointe Neighborhood

North Pointe is located in zip code 63147. The boundaries for the neighborhood are Goodfellow Avenue to the north and northwest, West Florissant Avenue to the southwest and Riverview Boulevard to the east and northeast.

The neighborhood is primarily a residential one, and it is widely regarded as one of the city’s most stable communities. This quaint area is a thriving middle-class area where there is a small number of larger frame homes, but the majority of residences in this community are smaller bungalows. The majority of homes in this part of the city were constructed between the end of the 1930s and into the 40s.

This neighborhood reflects the love and pride of its residents in every imaginable way. There are new sidewalks everywhere, and the corners are constructed in such a way as to allow for easy bike, stroller, and wheel chair access. This kind of thoughtful urban planning makes this the kind of neighborhood that people will want to walk through.

Even the street lights are beautiful in their design. All throughout the neighborhood, care to details of every kind are visible. Homes are perfectly tuck pointed, alleys are free of debris, and each home has an immaculately landscaped yard.

There is a beautiful train bridge that crosses Riverview Boulevard, and it is beautifully landscaped. All along the easements of the neighborhood railroad tracks, trees are planted in an elegant arrangement.

For people who work at the University of Missouri at St. Louis or at Express Scripts (the mail-order pharmacy) or any of the other large employers in the northern part of the city, North Pointe is ideally situated and a great neighborhood for young families because of the excellent nearby schools.
