Broadmoor, Anderson Island, Shreve Isle Neighborhood

Southeast of downtown Shreveport, Louisiana is the neighborhood of Broadmoor, Anderson Island, Shreve Isle. Bordering the west bank of the Red River, this tree-filled area features medium-sized ranch homes. Views from the street to many of the homes are obscured by the trees and vegetation. Interstate 49 is nearby to the west.

There are several schools in and around this neighborhood including St. Joseph Catholic School, Arthur Circle Elementary School, and A.C. Steere Elementary School. The A.C. Steere Elementary School is in a building that is on the National Registry of Historic Places and is staffed wholly by teachers with Master’s degrees in education.
