Highland Park Neighborhood

The homes of Highland Park are snuggled between Eastland Drive, Cascade Drive, and Parkway Drive in southeastern Georgia. These neighborhoods have easy access to both Highland Avenue and Daniel Field, a small community airport. There are a number of public transportation options available in the community.

Residents looking for ways to eat healthier without breaking the bank will appreciate the Fresh Market, a small grocery chain that offers customers the opportunity to sample a variety of fresh produce and fruits, meats, cheeses, and spices before they purchase them. The store also carries exotic ingredients and spices from around the world, as well as whole grains, nuts, wines, and freshly made peanut better. Visitors are able to serve themselves from bins located throughout the store, weighing out the amount of each item needed rather than purchasing a pre-determined quantity.

If keeping fit and active is a priority, Pendleton King Park, just over a mile from the neighborhood, provides activities for everyone in the family. There are several well kept gardens that visitors are welcome to stroll through, and a small paved walking path that meanders around the park. The park also offers the option to play a game of disc golf, or relax in the open expanses of greenery and enjoy a picnic. There is a small playground area with swings, slides, and a few tunnels for children of various ages. There are also a number of events are held in the park throughout the year. For older, more athletically inclined children and young adults, the Augusta Skate Park is located within a mile of the community, and offers a variety of ramps for skaters of all skill levels.
