North Clearwater is a large neighborhood situated along and north of Highway 580. It is a collection of smaller neighborhoods, such as Misty Springs, Westchester Lake, Rustlewood, Winding Wood, Woodgate, Raintree Village, and On Top of the World. The North Clearwater neighborhood is home to the Countryside Country Club and Mease Countryside Hospital. The popular Celebration Station amusement park is also part of North Clearwater.
The Misty Springs neighborhood of Clearwater is situated next to Westchester Lake. This lake provides the neighborhood with natural beauty. The community consists of Sabal Springs Drive and Sabal Springs Circle. The average estimated value of a house in this neighborhood is $349,000. A majority of them were built from 1970 to 1989.Misty Springs is outside the Countryside Country Club. This beautiful area also offers two state parks: Hammock Park and Highlander Park. These parks provide great natural surroundings for a nice walk or birding.

On Top of the World is known for having streets named after different countries throughout the world, as well as having buildings shaped like giant "X's". The buildings are multiple-family units. On the west side of On Top of the World is Harbor Lake. From here, residents have access to the lake through a large boat launch and dock that reaches a fair distance out onto the lake. It is common to find recreational boaters as well as anglers out enjoying the lake all year around. This body of water is also frequently used for kayaking, canoeing, and even paddle rafting. The lake is, however, known to have alligators, so it isn't normally used for any kind of swimming activity, although it is quite scenic and provides quick recreation for area residents.
North Clearwater is close to both the Gulf and the Bay, so residents have lots of opportunities to go fishing and boating, and to enjoy the white sand beaches.Countryside Shopping Mall and Countryside Centre are located in North Clearwater and are ideal for quick shopping trips. Both also offer a variety of restaurants to enjoy. Downtown Clearwater is a short drive away, providing a wealth of locally-owned shops, boutiques, nightclubs, and restaurants.
St. Petersburg and Tampa are both close to Clearwater and provide many fun places to visit. Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg is the home of the Rays and hosts numerous events. The Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa has won awards for being the best zoo in America. It houses more than 2,000 species of animals. Visitors are able to interact with many of these animals.
