The Brightwood Gardens Cooperative was formed in 2007 by residents. It is operated by a resident Board of Directors to serve the affordable housing interests of its resident-members and depends on member participation to thrive. The limited-equity structure means members do not earn significant profit from resale, but benefit by sustained low carrying charges.
