Commodore Neighborhood

Commodore is a primarily residential community in the 95133 zip code of San Jose. With an area of 0.477 square miles, it has a population of about 4,000 residents. It’s bordered by Berryessa Road, Joseph P. Sinclair Freeway, Mabury Road, and Lundy Avenue.

Beyond the tree-lined streets of Commodore, there are lots of opportunities for outdoors lovers to enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. The Penitencia Creek and its namesake park, The Penitencia Creek Park, are within the southeast portion of the community. Mineta San Jose International Airport is within five minutes to the west of Commodore, while the Moffett Federal Airfield is to the northwest. Several medical centers are near the neighborhood. The Regional Medical Center of San Jose, Kaiser Permanente, O’Connor Hospital, Forest Surgery Center, Crestwood Center, and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center are within a five-mile radius.
