Chinatown is situated around Grant and Stockton Streets and includes the historical Portsmouth Square, established in the 1800s. This open park features several statues and markers and is the heart of the community. Festivals in Chinatown include the Dragon Boat Festival, the Chinese New Year celebration, and the Autumn Moon Festival. Historic buildings include Old Saint Mary’s Cathedral, established in 1854.
