Canyon Crest Neighborhood

Canyon Crest is tucked into the hills overlooking downtown Riverside, California. The northern boundary is the University of California at Riverside (UCR). On the east, it follows the 60 Freeway curving around the Box Springs Mountains until it reaches the 60/215 Freeway split. On the south, it follows the hills of the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park until it reaches Alessandro Avenue. The western boundary follows the sparely populated hills to Arlington Avenue.

The median income is higher than the national average. Home prices average about $300,000. Canyon Crest prides itself on low density, and the condo and apartment complexes nestled in the trees give the feel of open space.

In the center of Canyon Crest is the Town Center. This charming Center has all the amenities that a resident could want from pet care to a down-home southern barbecue restaurant. The Center has fast food restaurants, a supermarket and a gas station. Residents can work off extra calories in the fitness center or stop in at the winery for tasting. Medical and dental care facilities are also available.

Near the Town Center is the Castle View Elementary School. Not far down the road is Andulka Park that features two baseball fields. There is a tennis court complex and two sand volleyball courts. Children love the splash water fountain. Golfers will appreciate the 18-hole golf course at the Canyon Crest Country Club. There is hiking, biking and horseback riding at the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park. The 1,550 acres of trails are dog-friendly. With all the activities, it is easy to forget that Canyon Crest is in the middle of an urban area. It is minutes from everywhere with easy freeway access.
