I have lived in this home since 1988. It is my pride and joy. Both bathrooms have been remodeled and upgraded. 1) The kitchen: has been remodeled and upgraded (I got rid on the gas stove and installed an induction cooktop). The Frigidaire oven is Convection, Air Fryer, Air Sous Vide, Turkey Option, Steam Roast and Bake, Dehydrate, Broiling and even has a Sabbath Mode. The kitchen windows look out either at the bamboo or to my backyard. Both are lovely. 2) There are 2 bathrooms. Both have been gutted and remodeled. Both have great showers and both have bidets/washlets. 3) There are 3 bedrooms. Two are upstairs and one is down stairs. I have converted one of the upstairs bedrooms into a comfortable office. The Master Bedroom has a new comfortable bed with a large view out into the backyard. The downstairs 3rd bedroom, also has a comfortable bed, a lovely kitchenette and a lovely bathroom. It has a separate entrance. Also there is a wall TV that can swing out so TV can be watched in bed. 4) The living room has very comfortable, modern furniture. The view out the front window looks out over Oakland, the Oakland airport and BART, and over to the peninsula. I have a sophisticated Dolby Atmos surround sound TV and Music system. Atmos movies bounce the sound off the ceiling so the sound is not only around you but above you. In the morning, I sit in the red chair by the front window, drink my coffee and watch the planes take off (or land) at OAK. The fire place does not work but it has been newly remolded with ceramic tile. 5) The dinning room has a beautiful dinning room table. There are no curtains on the large window as there is a huge wall of Golden Bamboo between the house and Andy and Chinzalee's house (the neighbors are wonderful). The bamboo is lit at night which creates a lovely eating environment in the dinning room. 6) Laundry. There is a laundry room conveniently located next to the kitchen. It has both a washer an dryer. 7) Utilities. You will pay for your electricity, water and gas. I pay for garbage. I have solar electricity installed on my roof, so in the summer months when I'm not using my gas heater my electric bills can be as low as $17 a month. 8) The Backyard. This is where the magic happens. It has an overhang with two electric heaters installed so one can be outside during the cool Oakland evenings. During the day, the overhang allows one to sit for long periods of time on the very comfortable and expensive patio furniture while being shaded from the sun. There are two fountains that bring the birds to my yard to drink and bathe. But the magic begins when the sun drops and the night begins. There is landscape lighting all throughout the backyard. Also the yard is fully fenced in so its a safe (and inviting) place for a dog. 9) The Neighborhood. I moved into this house in 1988. This neighborhood doesn't get any better. On either side of my house, the neighbors are wonderful. On one side, young couple Andy and Chinzalee have two lovely children, Samten and Nima, as well as a dog Domino. On the other side, Nick and Toni are my wonderful neighbors. Their dog is Memo. This is a dog walking neighborhood, so people pass by the house frequently walking their dogs. 10) Freeway access. The on-ramp to the Hayward 580 freeway is 3 min drive from my house. Very convenient.
