Los Angeles at a Glance
Mid-Wilshire Neighborhood
The Mid-Wilshire district is home to some of Los Angeles’ leading professionals in the entertainment industry. In the Mid-Wilshire area are the offices of E! Entertainment and several leading public relations agencies. The area is one of the most desirable in the city, with close access to world-class restaurants, museums, and entertainment venues.
Mid-Wilshire includes the 90036 and 90019 ZIP codes. Its boundaries are Crenshaw Boulevard on the east, Fairfax Avenue on the west, and Pico Boulevard on the south. The northern boundary extends eastbound on 3rd Street to La Brea, where it cuts south to Wilshire Boulevard.
The famous Miracle Mile runs along Wilshire Boulevard through Mid-Wilshire. Developed in the mid-1920s with wide streets and plenty of parking to specifically accommodate shoppers, Miracle Mile lived up to its name -- it instantly became the place to be in LA.
The high-rise office buildings mingle with several museums along this impressive strip. Museums include the Craft & Folk Art Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the La Brea Tar Pits museums, and the Petersen Automotive Museum. The El Rey Theater and the Screen Actors Guild are also located along the Mile.
One of Los Angeles’ most beloved landmarks is on the edge of Mid-Wilshire. Located near 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue, the Los Angeles Farmers’ Market has been an institution for generations of Angelinos and tourists. Aside from its fresh fruit stalls, the Farmers’ Market has many unique restaurants, bars, and shops. The market is also located next to The Grove, a large outdoor shopping mall that offers both a large movie theater and the opportunity to spot a celebrity.
Mid-Wilshire is dominated by renters, who account for over 80 percent of the area’s total population. Many of the homes are located on the east end of the district, adjacent to the old-money neighborhood of Hancock Park. A mixture of architectural styles can be found in Mid-Wilshire, and many homes have large, sloping front yards.

About Our Deals
Apartment Finder utilizes the industry's largest and most complete database of real-time rents and availabilities to help you find an amazing deal on your next rental.
Price Drop
Apartment communities change their rental rates often - sometimes multiple times a day. We track the changes and keep you up to date when a rental rate decreases.
Best Value
"Best value" units are located in buildings rated three stars or higher. We label apartment rentals that are priced significantly less than similar high-quality units nearby.
Rent Specials
Apartment communities regularly advertise deals for new residents. Whether it's a move-in special or a free tv, we locate the rentals that offer a little something extra when you sign your lease.
