The homes in the area of Grant and Glenn were built mostly during the 1960s and are in the true center of Tucson.

Not more than eight miles away from the Grant and Glenn location is Fort Lowell Park, known for its ponds with ducks and large soccer grounds hosting the many AYSO soccer clubs. The park itself was a US Army base in 1873. When the capture of Geronimo occurred, the fort was vacated. The city of Tucson bought a portion of this historic fort, which is now Fort Lowell Park.
Another central Tucson attraction close to Grant and Glen is Winterhaven Square. During the winter months, the Winterhaven Festival of Lights takes place and is the longest-running festival of its kind in the country. This tradition started in 1949 when the homes within this neighborhood were judged according to their decorative lights. This event has grown to a walking tour and buggy ride tour through the neighborhood.
Grant and Glenn neighborhood is Tucson’s Boho area. Shopping is often done in small boutiques. Among the boutiques there exists a designer square with handcrafted furniture from the stores of Bakers Fine Furniture. There is also Arizona’s largest resale bookstore called Bookmans, which has been a staple and a jewel of Tucson for a long time. Many second-hand stores and antique shops line this area.
The Grant and Glenn subdivision is close to Tucson Medical Center. Tucson Medical Center has served the community for over 60 years and is noted as one of the leading centers for emergency care in the area.
