North Beacon Hill Neighborhood
North Beacon Hill is a residential neighborhood in Seattle, Washington. The neighborhood has several major roadways surrounding it, including Interstate 90 to the north and Interstate 5 to the west. Both roadways are important to commerce in the area and provide quick access throughout Seattle and the state of Washington.
Beacon Hill is located directly east of the industrial district of Seattle. This major center of industry provides many of the jobs in the area and is the hub for many of the imports and exports that come in and out of the Seattle area. Many area residents work directly or indirectly at the ports or with companies that are involved in importing and exporting in some manner, including the many government positions relative to the ports.
Sports are an important part of life for many Seattle residents, and North Beacon Hill isn’t far from the best sports action Seattle has to offer. Located just over a mile from the neighborhood off of 4th Avenue is Qwest Field and Safeco Field. Qwest Field is the home of the professional football team the Seattle Seahawks, and Safeco Field is the home of the professional baseball team the Seattle Mariners. Both area venues are extremely popular not only for sports events but also for the numerous concerts and other events they host throughout the year.
To the south of North Beacon Hill just over a mile away is Jefferson Park, which is the home of Jefferson Park Golf Course. This golf course is one of the largest in the area and provides players of all skill levels a beautiful course with excellent challenges. The course also has a large clubhouse with a talented staff who know the game of golf well and are able to help with course tips and general golf questions. The site also has a driving range and lawn bowling.
