I am subletting my room here at 8 1/2 for next year. I signed my lease early but had to drop out of VCU so now there's no reason for me to live in Richmond anymore. The room I'm subletting is 624 D, a deluxe room on the top floor of the building. The property is great, it comes with study rooms, two levels of parking, spacious living space, fully equipped gym, and the staff are very friendly. Utilities are covered in rent up to a certain amount. I loved living here for the past year. Maintenance was always able to fix our problems fast and the student workers at the front desk are always happy to answer questions. The apartments come fully furnished with everything you need. The walk to VCU campus is really short and I have never felt unsafe walking back home at night. If you are thinking about living in 8 1/2 canal street please consider subletting from me because I need to get out of my lease haha.
