As its name would suggest, Northwest Nashville is a neighborhood on the northwest side of Nashville, Tennessee. It is just over 15 minutes from the downtown area at its center. The neighborhood is bounded by Highway 155 on the north and west, Highway 112/Highway 41 on the east, and the local railway and a waterway on the south. Highway 12 traverses the southern portion of this community. The zip code for this Davidson County neighborhood is 37218.

Northwest Nashville is a diverse mixture of residential areas, commercial offerings, open green space, and undeveloped wooded land. Several types of housing exist within neighborhood bounds, including single-family homes and multi-family rental complexes. Most of the lots here are fairly spacious and lush despite the neighborhood’s proximity to the center of a large city.

Children living in Northwest Nashville may attend Cumberland Elementary, which is situated in the southwest corner of the community. Bordeaux Park is a small neighborhood park on the southeast side of the neighborhood that offers a baseball and softball field, basketball court, walking path, playground, and picnic area.

Many shopping, dining, and entertainment options are located in and around Northwest Nashville, especially along the highways. Residents have access to the essentials, including supermarkets, pharmacies, and a number of popular eateries. Several small shopping centers are situated close to home, including the Northgate and Bordeaux shopping centers. This community is also a short drive from all that greater Nashville has to offer, including several city parks, golf courses, and major medical centers. Plenty of prominent higher education options also exist within a short drive of home, including Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University.
