Ashland City, TN Apartments for Rent

When Cheatham County was formed in 1856, Ashland City was formed to serve as the county seat. The new city contained just 50 acres of land and a temporary courthouse. The city’s original 50 acres is now the courthouse square, and the makeshift courthouse was replaced in 1869 with the one that still stands today.

Ashland City is situated along the Cumberland River, about 20 miles northwest of Nashville. While largely suburban, the city is home to the manufacturing company A.O. Smith, as well as the Cheatham County Industrial Park.
