Hickory Woods Neighborhood

Antioch is a community southeast of Nashville, Tennessee, near the city of La Vergne. Located about 16.5 miles from downtown Nashville, in the city of Antioch, is the Hickory Woods neighborhood. This small residential community is located just north and east of State Highway 1, U.S. Highway 41, and U.S. Highway 70S. It consists of a few small courts south of Hickory Woods Drive and north of a local creek. These include Brookstone Court and Wildgrove Court.

Just a few dozen single-family homes can be found along several neighborhood cul-de-sacs in this quiet Antioch neighborhood. It is part of Davidson County. The communities of Hickory Woods Estates, Park Place Condos, and Maxwell Place are situated to the north.

Although the Hickory Woods neighborhood is residential and the surrounding area has a somewhat rural feel, the nearby highways host a variety of commercial offerings, and nearby La Vergne offers some city conveniences. One of the area’s largest shopping centers – the Hickory Hollows Mall – is located within five miles to the northwest. This popular retail destination offers two major department stores, at least 100 specialty shops, and several dining options.

For outdoor recreation, Hickory Woods is located just one mile south of the J. Percy Priest Reservoir, a large body of water that is surrounded by parks, natural areas, and other types of recreation areas, including boating marinas. Area residents flock to the reservoir for boating, fishing, and swimming, and the surrounding recreation areas offer opportunities for camping, hiking, backpacking, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. Other recreation areas close to Hickory Woods include the Four Corners Recreation Area and the Hurricane Creek Recreation Area.

For convenient travel options, residents of Hickory Woods are just a few miles northwest of the Smyma Airport and within 10 minutes southeast of the Nashville International Airport, both easily accessible via the nearby highways.
