Oregon City is one of the oldest cities on the west coast. The houses in this historic area, the McLoughlin Conservation District, including this one at 412 John Adams, were built around 100 years ago and nearly all are well maintained and very attractive. Our John Adams house was built as a family home by a former Oregon City Mayor and converted to four apartments about 85 years ago. Each unit has built-in cabinets, its own bathroom, and original wood floors. Oregon City has a renovated historic downtown with an active restaurant, brewpub and food cart scene, all an easy walk from the apartment. There are walks along cliff tops with panoramic views of the Willamette River and Mt. Hood just minutes away. The Trailblazers play at the Moda Center in Portland just 30 minutes away by car. Mt.Hood Meadows' ski slopes are 1.5 hours away to the east and Oregon beaches are 2 hours away to the west.
