Portland Airport Air Guard Station, OR

The Portland Air National Guard Base has been in use since 1940. It is home of the 142d Fighter Wing of the Oregon National Guard and is located about five miles northeast of downtown Portland at Portland International Airport. Tenant units are also located at the base.

The airport and guard base are located along the Columbia River near the Washington border. To find an apartment in the Portland Air National Guard Base area, look in some of Portland’s northeastern neighborhoods, such as Woodlawn, Concordia, Cully, Humboldt, Overlook, Piedmont, Sabin, and Beaumont-Wilshire.

Across the river in Washington, the city of Vancouver is within commuting distance. Look in North Garrison Heights, Vancouver Heights, Evergreen Highlands, Dubois Park, Riverview, and Father Blanchet Park.
