Gresham – Kelly Creek Neighborhood

Kelly Creek is a neighborhood in Gresham, Oregon in the 97080 zip code. The borders of the neighborhood are Southeast Teal Drive on the east, Mount Hood Highway on the west, Southeast Carl Street on the south, and Southeast Powell Valley Road on the north. The neighborhood mostly is made up of single-family, detached homes. This is a rural area, and it is not uncommon to see farms. Public transportation is available

Southeast Community Park is 16 acres of undeveloped land that may have facilities in the future. Today, the spectacular view of Mt. Hood is the only attraction. The open spaces are conducive to games, kite flying, and picnics.

Kelly Creek Greenway Trail runs for three-quarters of a mile through a deep, forested area of this neighborhood. The trail is unpaved, and it offers a peaceful respite from the outside world.

Kelly Creek Elementary School offers classes to children in grades K-5. It is popular with both students and parents, and it has earned a four out of five community rating from GreatSchools. Gordon Russell Middle School offers classes to students in grades 6-8. Kelly Creek Neighborhood Association meetings are often held there. It has been given a six out of 10 rating from GreatSchools based on overall performance.

Gresham Village is a shopping center right outside the borders of this community. It has a wide selection of restaurants, including Outback Steakhouse. When residents want to grocery shop, they head to Food For Less or Winco, both within an easy drive.
