Galloway Ridge Neighborhood

Access to the neighborhood of Galloway Ridge can be achieved by automobile by way of Interstate 70, Interstate 40 and Highway 40. All of these highways either run around or through the community of Galloway Ridge. Another access option is by plane via three airports located within the boundaries of this community. One major airport is the Columbus Southwest Airport. The others are Darby Dan Air Strip and Bolton Field.

Galloway Ridge is a community in the city of Galloway, Ohio. Several recreational or sports activities are available within the neighborhood’s boundaries. These include the city of Columbus Park, jogging trails, walking paths, a playground and a pond. Other sport or recreational activities include golf, camping and fishing. These opportunities are provided by way of several avenues. One is the Bolton Field Golf Course off Bausch Road, and another is through the Thomapple Country Club. Fishing is enjoyed at the Silver Creek Reservoir, which is located adjacent to Galloway Ridge. It is basically a fishing lake and is located in Madison County, but is still in the Galloway area. Camping opportunities are available at the Alton Campground. It is located 9 miles west of downtown Columbus and also has a mailing address of Galloway, Ohio.

The school system in the community of Galloway Ridge involves two primary schools, one middle school and one high school. Galloway Ridge also has a civic association called the Galloway Ridge Civic Association. Their web site offers information about the community and what it provides as opportunities for residents to get involved in their community. One of the features of the association through their web site is a calendar of upcoming events to help with planning busy schedules.
